The Power of the Page Students will be educated on contemporary issues affecting literacy, education, and information consumption while providing practical academic resources and encouraging critical thinking. The event aims to move beyond the traditional panel format by allowing students to actively engage with education content through exhibits, discussions, activities and real time polling. Students will receive a “passport” booklet upon arrival and rotate through interactive stations. Each station will be hosted by the University Liaisons or Event partners. The goal of this event is for students to understand current literacy challenges facing the United States and recognize the importance of reading proficiency. Each station will represent a different issue.
