The Girls Like Me Club is a non-profit, student-driven initiative designed to inspire minority girls to explore and excel in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) fields. Founded in 2021 by Kyra Chinnery, a graduate of North Carolina A&T State University with a degree in Mechanical Engineering. With established chapters in Greensboro, North Carolina; Athens, Georgia; and Montgomery, Alabama, the club is making an impact on young girls from Title 1 schools. Our primary mission is to bridge the STEM gap for minority girls at Title 1 Schools by offering hands-on activities, mentorship, and exposure to real-world STEM applications.
