Medical Scholars Program at FAMU
The Medical Scholars Program at FAMU is an elite pre-medical program that provides a rigorous, specialized training that better prepares students for medical school beyond the traditional pre-medical training. It was formed as a partnership between Florida Atlantic University and Florida A&M University in which students accepted to this program (track I) have conditional acceptance to the FAU Charles E. Schmidt College of Medicine. The students will have to successfully complete the program and satisfy the requirements of the Liaison Committee on Medical Education (LCME), American Association of Medical Colleges (AAMC), American Medical College Application Service (AMCAS) and FAU's College of Medicine. As an organization on campus, the Medical Scholars Program hosts multiple community service events as well as bonding events for our members. Our goal is to provide a close-knit community filled with like-minded students focused on pursuing a career as a physician and to prepare them for medical school.
