Chess Club at FAMU
The FAMU chess club is established to engage students involved with the activities of problem solving, active mental engagement, mental acuity, and social engagement through chess. This club is designed to aid in the facilitation of learning for all levels of players, at FAMU. This organization is concerned with playing chess, specifically focusing on the forms of the opening, middle-game, and endgame, with open book play, friendly social interactions, and competitive games to increase student engagement. We welcome any and all chess players of all levels to play chess to the best of your ability and to compete on the level you are most comfortable.
