The STEM Center for the Advancement of Learning, Achievement, and Research is dedicated to fostering student success and excellence in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM). The Center supports minority student achievement by conducting and disseminating research on effective STEM retention and success strategies, while promoting evidence-based practices that enhance educational outcomes. Through a coordinated, institution-wide approach, the Center provides leadership in the development and delivery of STEM academic support services, student success initiatives, and professional development opportunities. The Center works closely with faculty to advance innovative teaching methods and pedagogical best practices that strengthen student engagement, learning, and persistence in STEM disciplines. In addition, the Center facilitates student professional development, leadership experiences, and co-curricular programming designed to prepare students for advanced study and careers in the STEM workforce. As a catalyst for innovation, the Center serves as a leading advocate for excellence in STEM education and research, fostering collaboration among students, faculty, researchers, and external partners to expand opportunities and drive institutional impact.
