On December 6th, 1935, the Alpha Eta Chapter of Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity, Incorporated was chartered on Florida A&M University's campus (then Florida A&M College), and was the first collegiate chapter to be chartered in the state of Florida. The chapter was chartered by three distinguished men of Sigma; one of our most Honorable Founders Leonard F. Morse, our 10th International president Richard A. Billings, and World Renowned Botanist Dr. George Washington Carver. For the past 90 years, Alpha Eta has been striving to uplift the community by exemplifying the fraternity's the high ideals of Brotherhood, Scholarship, and Service.
