Animal Legal Defense Fund at FAMU Law
Florida A&M University College of Law has partnered with the Animal Legal Defense Fund to create a student chapter of the national non-profit group, whose mission is to protect the lives and advance the interests of animals through the legal system. With the Animal Legal Defense Fund’s support, students at the school will join other student chapter members nationwide, taking on projects such as: hosting speakers, debates, panels, conferences, etc.; writing law review articles for journals dedicated to animal law; tabling on campus to raise awareness about animal law issues; organizing donations drives for animals shelters and sanctuaries; and volunteering at animal shelters and sanctuaries.
