Venom Pom Squad
Venom Pom Squad was founded in 1994 by Miriam Watkins. The purpose of this dance organization is to provide a stress reliever for students of FAMU. It is designated for a selected group of disciplined, respectable and distinguished students to perform dance routines involving Jazz, Modern and Hip-Hop dance movements with a little pizzazz. These dances are performed during athletic events (including but not limited to basketball, football, softball, baseball, volleyball and track and field). It is also formed to create lifelong friendships (evolving into sisterhood) with others who share the same dancing interests. It is a serious dance organization that believes in perfecting dance routines to serve our school spirit and pride, as well as our community. This is a dynamic dance organization that strives for excellence in everything we do. We represent Class, Dignity & Style ALWAYS!
