
Volunteers Needed for Fall Festival at Edison and Ford Winter Estates Thomas Edison and Henry Ford Winter Estates is a nationally recognized historic site and botanical garden dedicated to preserving the winter homes, laboratories, and legacies of Thomas Edison and Henry Ford while inspiring innovation through education, historic preservation, and community engagement. Each year, we host family-friendly events that bring the Southwest Florida community together and support our educational mission. We are seeking enthusiastic FGCU student volunteers to assist with our annual Fall Festival. Volunteer responsibilities include supervising activities in the Family Fun Zone (including the obstacle course and axe throwing), assisting with the pumpkin painting station, and helping manage the Trick-or-Treat Trail to ensure a fun, safe, and welcoming experience for children and their families. Volunteers may also assist with general event support as needed. Volunteer shifts are available from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. (including a lunch break) or half-day shifts from 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. and 12:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. This is a great opportunity for students to earn service-learning hours while supporting a beloved community tradition and creating memorable experiences for local families.
