
Volunteers Needed for Annual MS Health and Wellness Symposium The Centers for Multiple Sclerosis is a specialized non-profit that has served the local community since 2000. Headquartered in Estero, FL, the center has 5 satellite locations, serving over 500 local residents with MS and their families. We are looking for volunteers to help at our Annual MS Health and Wellness Symposium. Students will be assisting with check-in, helping clients to their tables, assisting with food and drinks where needed, helping clients off the bus, and working on event setup and breakdown. The Centers for Multiple Sclerosis distinguishes itself by striving to meet the mental and physical needs of its local clients and is not affiliated with any national organization. Clients of the Centers benefit from social interaction and wellness programs, including case management, MS-focused exercise classes, art therapy, mental health support and coaching, disability equipment, educational activities, and connection to resources. The MS Center’s programs and services are supported by individual donations, foundation grants, and supporters at our fundraising events. The center is also a United Way of Lee County Partner Agency. Students can serve the entire time (8:00 AM to 3:00 PM) or they can serve during one of the following shifts: - 8:00 AM to 12:00 PM (Noon) - 11:30 AM to 3:00 PM If interested in this service-learning opportunity, please contact Veruska Koerner at veruska@centers4ms.org.
