
*Ongoing* Volunteer with Individuals Living with Dementia Beginning in 2027 , The Dubin Center will offer respite activities for individuals living with dementia while their caregivers participate in our support groups. FGCU students will assist our social workers during these one-hour sessions by interacting with participants and helping with engaging activities such as games, puzzles, art, music, conversation, and other dementia-friendly activities. Students will not be responsible for providing care independently. A Dubin Center social worker will lead each session and provide guidance and support. This is an opportunity for students to gain meaningful experience interacting with individuals living with dementia while also helping family caregivers access an important source of support. Dates and times - beginning 2027 (please be able to serve the entire time) : - Every Monday 9:30am - 11:30am - Every Tuesday 9:30am -11:30am - Every Wednesday 11:30am - 1:30pm; 1:30pm - 3:30pm - 2nd & 4th Wednesdays 9:30am - 11:30am - Every Thursday 12:30pm - 2:30pm.
