Social Sanctuary Club & GIDDI Club Meeting!
Social Sanctuary Club & GIDDI Club Meeting! The mission of the Social Sanctuary is to provide a safe place for students to decompress from life’s struggles and stressors, be a place to meet new people, make friends, play video games + board games, and act as a support group regarding mental health. We take a different approach on clubs and act as a social lounge/come-and-go as you please type of club to alleviate any stress of feeling obligated to commit to the club. We host club meetings on Wednesday to provide an end of week decompress space before students head home for the weekend. Within society, mental health currently has a stigma where people think someone with a mental illness warrants them being treated as lesser. With the Social Sanctuary Club, we want to break this stigma and help our peers develop a support group for mental health and tell them that there are people who may understand what they’re going through, as well as people who wish to help. From Wednesday, November 18, 2026 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM EST at GIDDI - Modular 2 .
