Help at Community Fall Festival at Villas Church
Help at Community Fall Festival at Villas Church Villas Church is a Wesleyan church with campuses in Fort Myers and Alva, Florida, and our mission is to serve and connect our community through worship, family ministry, and local outreach. Our annual Fall Festival is a free, family-friendly event that draws a couple hundred neighbors to our campus. This year it features booths hosted by local nonprofits and community organizations. We're looking for FGCU students to volunteer on Saturday, October 31, from 2:00 to 6:30 PM . The festival itself runs from 3:00 to 5:30 PM. Volunteers will help set up before the event, run game and activity stations for kids, pass out candy, greet and direct families, support nonprofit booth hosts, and help with cleanup afterward. No experience is needed. Our staff will provide a brief orientation when students arrive, and they'll work alongside our team and community partners. We prefer students serve the full shift from 2:00 to 6:30 PM, which includes setup before the festival and teardown after. However, we're happy to work with students based on their availability. Students who can't stay the full time can help with setup (2:00–3:00 PM), the festival itself (3:00–5:30 PM), or teardown (5:30–6:30 PM). All volunteers must complete a background check before serving . It's included in our registration process, so we ask students to register by Wednesday, October 21st , to allow time for it to clear.
