
Volunteers Needed for Rookery Bay Trail Work Rookery Bay National Estuarine Research Reserve needs volunteers to assist with trail work (cutting back plants, etc.). Volunteers are needed on October 13, 2026 from 8:30 AM to 12:00 PM (students can stay later if they would like to earn more hours). If you cannot make that date, you can serve any day Tuesday through Saturday between 8:30 AM and 4:00 PM . IMPORTANT NOTES : - Please bring a refillable water bottle. You may bring a backpack to hold water and snacks if desired. - Long pants are REQUIRED (NO yoga pants, sweatpants, or shorts) - CLOSED-TOE shoes only (no sandals) If interested in this service-learning opportunity, please contact Donna Young at donna.young@floridadep.gov.
