Participants will learn about Clean Miami Beach’s grassroots approach to addressing marine debris, plastic pollution, habitat degradation, and other environmental challenges through beach cleanups, education, and community outreach. The discussion will highlight how science-based initiatives can empower students, residents, and local partners to become active environmental stewards. Attendees will leave with a deeper understanding of the connection between local environmental challenges and broader sustainability goals, as well as practical ways to turn environmental awareness into meaningful community action.
