Emergency Medicine Workshop Join us for an Emergency Veterinary Medicine Workshop featuring an FIU alumni ER veterinarian, Dr. Basit, who will introduce students to the fast-paced world of veterinary emergency medicine. Learn about what emergency medicine involves, the role of an ER veterinary team, and common emergency cases seen in practice, including trauma, toxicity, respiratory distress, and other critical conditions. Students will gain insight into how veterinarians assess and prioritize patients in an emergency setting and what it’s like to work in veterinary ER medicine.
