Welcome to the FIU Badminton Club . Our club provides a welcoming and organized environment for FIU students, faculty, staff, and members of the local community to play and enjoy badminton. We are proud to support the badminton community in Miami by providing regularly scheduled opportunities to play at one of the area's limited dedicated badminton locations. Our sessions currently operate on three courts and include players of a wide range of skill levels, from beginners to advanced players. Everyone is welcome to participate. Fall 2026 Practice Times Our scheduled practice times for the Fall 2026 semester are: Tuesday: 6:00 PM – 8:00 PM Thursday: 6:00 PM – 8:00 PM Saturday: 12:00 PM – 2:00 PM Practice attendance is not mandatory for student club members . Students are welcome to attend whenever their schedule allows. Please note that practice times may occasionally change due to facility availability, university events, holidays, or other scheduling conflicts. Any updates will be communicated through the club's WhatsApp group. Equipment Equipment expectations differ between FIU student club members and community players . FIU Student Club Members The club provides shuttlecocks for student club members during official club practice times . Players are still expected to bring their own racket. A limited number of rackets may be available for checkout through the PRO SHOP . Shuttlecocks provided by the club are intended for use during scheduled club practices and are subject to availability. Community Players, Faculty, and Staff Community players, faculty, and staff are expected to bring their own rackets and shuttlecocks . A limited number of rackets may be available for checkout through the PRO SHOP . Players sharing a court should agree on shuttlecock selection and quality before beginning play. At this time, the FIU Badminton Club does not collect membership dues or participation fees . Court Rotation and Game Rules Because court space is limited and sessions can become busy, we ask all players to be considerate and follow the established rotation system. Games should be played to 21 points . Players should limit themselves to two games before rotating off the court. After two games, please allow the next players in the court queue to play. Continue rotating according to the queue established for each individual court. Please be respectful of other players and help ensure that everyone has a fair opportunity to play. These guidelines are intended to keep sessions organized and allow as many members as possible to participate. Club Communication Our WhatsApp group is the primary communication channel for practice schedules, announcements, schedule changes, competitions, and other club updates. Please join the group and review the group description after joining , as current practice times and important information will be listed there.
