Data Analysis with MATLAB
MATLAB is a multi-purpose numerical computing environment and programming language widely used for solving problems in various engineering, scientific, and mathematical fields. MATLAB can handle matrices and arrays as fundamental data types, making it well-suited for scientific and engineering computations. MATLAB also comes with hundreds of built-in functions and commands that can be used for data analysis and visualization. This workshop will explore various concepts integral to using MATLAB, including working within the desktop environment, creating and manipulating vectors and matrices, importing external data, generating scripts, and creating 2D plots. Please contact this QEP's instructor, Dr. Nick Ruhs, if you have questions about workshop content. You MUST use your FSU email account to access this workshop through Zoom. Please ensure that your Zoom app is up to date before the workshop. Check-in ends 10 minutes after the scheduled start time and late arrivals will not be admitted. The Graduate Skills Workshop series is a collection of workshops developed in collaboration with the Graduate School and the Quality Enhancement Plan (QEP) to support graduate research and success. Please note: The target audience for this workshop is graduate and doctoral students, but participants at all levels are welcome to join. To qualify for the Research and Creative Activity Travel Grant, only fully matriculated and admitted FSU students will be considered. For questions regarding Research and Creative Activity Travel Grants, please contact the Graduate Student Resource Center.
