Join us for the next ISL Distinguished Lecture, featuring Dr. Yanshan Wang and his presentation, “Healthy Aging in the Era of Generative AI: From Scientific Advances to Trustworthy Clinical Applications.” Dr. Wang is Vice Chair of Research and Associate Professor in the Department of Biomedical Informatics and the inaugural Director of AI in the Clinical and Translational Science Institute at the University of Pittsburgh. He also directs the Clinical NLP & AI Innovation Laboratory (PittNAIL), where his research focuses on trustworthy generative AI, large language models, and clinical natural language processing. His work at the intersection of artificial intelligence and healthy aging spans Alzheimer’s disease and dementia, precision rehabilitation, and AI-driven clinical decision support. In this lecture, Dr. Wang will discuss emerging advances in generative AI and how these technologies can be translated into trustworthy, human-centered clinical applications that support healthy aging, functional independence, and quality of life.
