NAEA-FSU’s primary purpose is to promote the field of visual arts education through solidifying bridges of cooperative partnership within FSU’s College of Visual Arts, Theatre, & Dance, externally with other FSU academic departments, as well as with public and private entities within our local community. NAEA-FSU shall do this primarily by: Acting as liaison and local representative of the National Art Education Association (NAEA); Promoting the Mission and Vision of the NAEA as stated on its website at http://arteducators.org/about-us; Educating non-art-education students and the greater community about the importance of the visual arts in life-long learning, human fulfillment, and global understanding; Developing and maintaining resources for FSU Art Education students, including but not limited to: mentoring, networking, social activities, workshops, and other professional development opportunities.
