The Residential Conduct Board is a group of on-campus students trained to hold informal hearings involving violations of the Florida State University's Student Conduct Code and Guide to Residence Living. The members of the Residential Conduct Board actively upholds University Housing policies to maintain a safe, responsible, and inclusive campus community. The Residential Conduct Board provides a unique opportunity for residential students to serve the community by promoting care and accountability within the residence halls. Conduct Board hearings take place on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday evenings, depending on case availability. Every Conduct Board Hearing consists of 3-5 Board members that review case documentation and conduct a hearing to hear testimony from the charged residential student(s). As a member of the Residential Conduct Board, you will gain professional skills in conflict management, critical thinking and public speaking. Additionally, students selected for the Residential Conduct Board will participate in various university housing programs that promote ethical development and safety and security within the residence halls. This is a great leadership opportunity for those students interested in pursuing a career in student affairs, law, or government. Students that are interested in joining the Residential Conduct Board must be a current resident of University Housing with no semester live-on requirement.
