The Black Law Student Association, College Student Division is an organization whose focus is to ensure that all students interested in law are being adequately informed, fostered, and empowered with the necessary tools to be successful in Law School. The purpose of the organization shall be to utilize the collective resources of its members and chapters to: I. Articulate and promote the professional needs and goals of pre-law students (including but not limited to minorities); II. Foster and encourage professional competence; III. Focus upon the relationship of the pre-law student, law student, and Attorney to the American legal structure; IV. Instill in the pre-law student, law student and Attorney a greater awareness and commitment to the needs of minority communities; V. Encourage minority pre-law and law students to pursue careers in the judiciary; and VI. Do all things necessary and appropriate to accomplish these purposes.
