Guest Speaker: Mike Rogers + Worst Shuv Contest We are proud to announce that the legendary Mike Rogers is going to speak to UCF Skate Club and judge our Worst Shuv contest on October 6th at 6:30 in front of Addition Arena. Mike is a truly one-of-a-kind skateboarder. Mike served as the skatepark director and pro for the Palm Beach YMCA skatepark from 1998 to 2006. In 2007, he founded the Clash at Clermont with Andy Macdonald. Mike battled sarcoma cancer two times which led to him starting Grind for Life in 2003. Through Grind for Life, Mike has raised over $400,000 to help hundreds of people travel to receive the right cancer treatments. Mike founded the Grind for Life Contest Series, which became one of the biggest skateboarding contest series for all ages, and one of the best places for amateur and adaptive skateboarders to show off their skills. The Grind for Life Series alumni list reads like a list of all our favorite skateboarders and includes SOTYs, Olympians, and numerous pros. We are beyond stoked to have Mike join us and to learn about the impact he has had on and off the board. We will have extra boards and obstacles available to skate. From Tuesday, October 6, 2026 6:30 PM to 9:00 PM EDT at Addition Arena .
