Urban Agriculture Volunteer Shift
Urban Agriculture Volunteer Shift Come join us and get your hands dirty in our community garden! We will be doing tasks such as weeding, mulching, planting, harvesting and many other tasks that keep a garden growing! Closed-toed shoes MUST be worn, or you will not be able to participate. Gloves are also required in the case of ants, so please bring your own, or you can borrow a pair from us. Please be sure to bring water! For the even with the cooler months, overheating and sun damage is still so possible, so dress appropriately (& we will take water breaks throughout). Thank you! We will be meeting outside the L3Harris building, on the side closer to Garage C and across from the Arboretum park. You can spot us by the dark green arboretum shirt, we will be waiting outside for 10 minute, Here is a coordinate for the specific location (28°36'02.2"N 81°11'50.0"W)! *Volunteers may miss NO MORE than 3 volunteer shifts!! If you can no longer attend, change your RSVP beforehand! **If you experience a waitlist issue and are moved into the RSVP at the last minute, please send us a screenshot of the Knight Connect email that notified you. ***If you show up after the volunteering group has moved to the farm, you cannot earn the full hours of service credit.
