Introduction: Welcome to the KnightConnect profile for Fund the Cure @UCF! A student organization dedicated to contributions for Pediatric Cancer/Awareness and funding the cure! This organization has a professional affiliation with the National Pediatric Cancer Foundation (NPCF), as we help promote their organization, volunteer at their events, and host our own events as participants in their " Students Fund the Cure " program. Mission: An organization dedicated to hosting fundraising events in support of the National Pediatric Cancer Foundation's (NPCF) " Sunshine Project ". The Sunshine Project: A project aimed towards finding more managable and less toxic treatments for pediatric cancer, through research initatives. Learn more about NPCF Importance: Pediatric Cancer is the leading cause of disease related death among children. Additionally, a shocking 4% of cancer research related federal funding is allocated to this cancer during childhood.
