Words That Heal General Body Meeting Join Words That Heal for our first General Body Meeting of the semester! This meeting will introduce our organization’s mission of raising awareness about language barriers in healthcare and promoting effective patient-provider communication. Members will learn about the importance of language access, explore how communication barriers can affect patient understanding and healthcare experiences, and participate in interactive activities. We will also discuss upcoming medical language workshops, guest speakers, community outreach opportunities, and ways to get involved. Whether you are interested in medicine, languages, anthropology, public health, or simply improving healthcare communication, everyone is welcome. No prior language experience is required!
