College Independents
The purpose of College Independents is to: promote civic engagement among University of Florida students, regardless of political ideology or party affiliation; encourage informed, nonpartisan political participation; provide experiential leadership opportunities in public service, communications, organizing, and civic education; support respectful political dialogue and democratic participation across the political spectrum; organize volunteer, educational, and community engagement initiatives; and connect students with opportunities related to public policy, elections, leadership development, and civic participation, undertaken by members in their individual capacity. The organization is student-led and operates independently, in accordance with University of Florida policies and regulations. College Independents does not endorse political parties or candidates. Individual members may pursue political or campaign- related volunteer opportunities on their own time and in their individual capacity; such activity does not constitute, and shall not be represented as, an endorsement or action of the organization.
