The purpose of the Hospice and Palliative Care Organization is to educate students about hospice and palliative care while promoting compassionate service, community involvement, and professional development in healthcare-related fields. The organization seeks to increase awareness and understanding of hospice and palliative care services among students and the broader community. The organization supports these goals by providing members with opportunities for volunteer service, patient and family support initiatives, educational workshops, guest speaker events, professional networking opportunities, fundraising and awareness events, and outreach activities within the University of Florida and North Central Florida community. The organization also aims to connect students with clinical, service, and leadership experiences related to end-of-life care and interdisciplinary healthcare.
