The University of Florida chapter of the National Marrow Donor Program (NMDP) works to educate students about the importance of blood stem cell and marrow donation while increasing awareness of the need for diverse donors. Throughout the year, we host educational seminars featuring healthcare professionals and transplant recipients, organize donor registration and recruitment drives, table across campus to engage students in conversation, collaborate with other student organizations on awareness campaigns, and hold social events that help members build community while supporting our mission. By combining education, advocacy, and outreach, we aim to expand the donor registry and give more patients the opportunity to find a life-saving match.
