Prestigious Awards Student Support (PASS the Torch) is a student-led organization at the University of Florida dedicated to making prestigious scholarships, fellowships, grants, and other competitive opportunities more visible and accessible to students. Our mission is to demystify the application process by providing practical guidance, peer mentorship, workshops, and connections to previous award recipients and other campus resources. PASS the Torch supports students at every stage of the process—from discovering opportunities that align with their academic and professional goals to understanding what makes a competitive application and developing the confidence to apply. By sharing knowledge and creating a community of students who help those coming after them, we aim to expand access to opportunities that can transform students’ educational and career trajectories. We light the way for those who come next.
