Goldstein is a noted interpreter of Feldman’s music and has recorded several of his major compositions. This performance offers an opportunity to experience Feldman’s expansive musical language through an extended solo piano work. Thursday, October 8 | 7:00 p.m. – 9:00 p.m. — For John Cage Violinist Tom Chiu and pianist Louis Goldstein perform Feldman’s For John Cage, written in 1982 as a tribute to fellow American composer and longtime friend John Cage. Chiu, a founding member of the Flux Quartet, has performed and recorded Feldman’s music extensively, while Goldstein is also recognized for his work as a Feldman interpreter. Together, they bring this distinctive work for violin and piano to life. Free and open to the public.
