Cellular Journeys x Public Health | How to Get Involved in Research: Building Skills and Finding Opportunities
Join us for an interactive workshop designed to demystify undergraduate research and help you take the first step toward getting involved. Students will learn about different types of research, hear directly from faculty mentors and student researchers, practice finding potential research mentors, and discover how to write an effective email to a professor about research opportunities. You’ll leave with: A better understanding of what undergraduate research actually looks like Strategies for finding faculty and research opportunities that match your interests Tips for approaching and communicating with potential research mentors A research CV template and faculty email template A clearer understanding of the skills faculty value in student researchers One potential research mentor to contact A practical next step: reach out to one potential mentor before the next workshop You don’t need research experience to get started.
