Career Shadowing provides a behind-the-scenes look, a "Day in the Life," of a professional working in a career of interest. The focus of the experience is for you to learn more about a profession and an organization. Shadow day allows you to assess realistic career options. It is an opportunity to have frank discussions about the rewards/challenges of a career, learn about the skills and education required to succeed in the field, and gain an understanding of the professional's career path. The experience helps students make informed career decisions. Students gain exposure to a company and develop connections, sometimes long-lasting friendships, with professionals in our community. We do not guarantee employment or an internship, but many students have landed jobs or internships by making a great impression.
