Civic Conversation Series: VOTE SMART with Ron Pierce
With a midterm election coming up, are you familiar with the candidates? What about the issues on the ballot? With so much noise in politics, how am I supposed to make an informed decision? As part of the Center for Leadership and Civic Engagement's (CLCE) Civic Conversation Series, Ron Pierce, a faculty member in the USF School of Public Affairs, Public Policy Internship Coordinator, and CEO of RSA Consulting Group, will discuss the value of being an informed elector as Early Voting begins in Florida for the 2026 Midterm General Elections. As a result of attending this event, students who actively listen and engage in the discussion will: • Be able to engage in political conversations in an informed and civil manner • Be able to understand and accept personal responsibility in the democratic process • Be able to analyze systems and their influence on people
