Alliance for Cancer Awareness and Student Action
The Alliance for Cancer Awareness & Student Action (ACASA) student organization at the University of South Florida is established on the promotion, understanding and education surrounding all forms of cancer throughout the State of Florida and other regions. Our dedicated organization is committed to empowering students to make high impact differences in the lives of cancer patients and their loved ones by cultivating compassionate, service, and relationship-oriented support among the community. Through mentorship, emotional support initiatives, and collaborative volunteering opportunities with hospitals and nonprofit organizations, we strive to uplift those affected by cancer-including peripheral families/friends. We are the home for students interested in the field of oncology as we enrich our high impact members with exclusive shadowing opportunities with prodigious healthcare specialists. We are all-inclusive to students of all disciplines and career paths, united by a shared passion for advocacy, driven impact, and purposeful action to the prevention of cancer diagnosis along with support to individuals affected by the disease. Our mission is reflected in the acronym H.O.M.E.- Hope, Outreach, Mentorship, and Empowerment
