Biomedical Engineering Society
We strive to provide countless opportunities for USF Students to get exposed to the field of Biomedical Engineering. We focus on educating our members, technical and professional skill development, and creating relationships with fellow classmates, University researchers, and industry professionals. Each semester, we hold events that showcase some of the novel biomedical research happening on campus. We also provide members with the opportunity to join those laboratories, gain professional experience, strengthen their resumes, and become more competitive applicants for graduate programs and for industry careers. One of the aspects of our society that we are most proud of is our Research and Development Team. Every year, we create a new project to display for USF's Engineering Expo! It is an opportunity for students of all majors and skill levels to participate and learn hard and soft skills like 3D printing, teamwork, Arduino Programming, communication, Bio-signal collection and filtering, and problem solving! We also acknowledge that the college experience is about building relationships, networking, and having fun. That is why we hold social events where students can relax, make friends, and enjoy college. Overall, we are dedicated to creating an environment that breeds success for our members that makes their college experiences more enjoyable and valuable, and their careers more prosperous and impactful. We also provide opportunities in volunteering, mentoring, and community outreach. This organization is affiliated with the National Biomedical Engineering Society.
