Lantern Festival The Asian American Students Association and the School of Architecture present the 2026 Annual Lantern Festiva! Join us on Thursday, October 15 from 6:30-9:30PM in the architecture courtyard for a beautiful celebration filled with free food, boba, and games! Come gather with friends to decorate your own lanterns that you can release into Lake Osceola! Lantern Festival, or Mid-Autumn Festival, is a tradition celebrated on the 15th day of the first lunar month and welcomes the first full moon of the year that influences agricultural production and harvests. It honors good fortune, peace, and family unity through displaying lanterns, eating sweet and savory glutinous rice balls, and spending time with family. This event is brought to you by the Asian American Students Association and the School of Architecture. We have also collaborated with many other student organizations including: Korean Student Association (KOSA) Hindu Students Council (HSC) Council of International Students and Organizations (COISO) Pakistani Student Association (PSA) Vietnamese Student Association (VSA) Arab Students Union (ASU) Mexicanes + More! *Free boba and mooncakes require the completion of a number of activities and will be given on a first-come first-serve basis while supplies last.
