Delta Kappa Alpha (ΔKA) is a National Professional Gender-inclusive Cinematic Arts Fraternity. All students interested in film are encouraged to join, regardless of their major or gender identity. As a National organization with 80+ years of history and thousands of alumni, our members at UM are connected to students in the top cinema programs in the country such as those at USC, NYU, UCLA, Chapman, UT Austin, LMU, Columbia University, and many others. DKA is grounded in timeless personal and professional values and principles, and as an organization, our vision is to be recognized as the premier institute of upstanding entertainment industry leaders. You need not be affiliated with the School of Communication to apply, as DKA welcomes all undergraduates and graduates who are dedicated to fostering lifelong character, collaborative and creative storytelling, ethical and productive business practices, philanthropic action, and fraternal bonds by and between students of the cinematic arts. We've brought together students from the departments of History, Psychology, Marketing, English, International Studies, Environmental Engineering, Ecosystem Science, Biology, Criminology, Computer Science, Law, and Nursing, to name a few of the areas that have come together to help shape the future of cinema at our university.
