Health Studies Student Association
The Health Studies Student Association (HSSA) unifies all Pre-Health Professional students at the University of Miami! We aim to expose all our members to service within the realm of Public Health through the adoption of several philanthropies at the Holtz and Nicklaus Children’s Hospitals. We aim to make children feel at home in the hospital while providing emotional support to help them cope with their illness or condition. Part of our mission includes having the opportunity to volunteers to visit the hospitals to expand on the philanthropy firsthand and personally have an in-person experience with the patients, family members and medical staff. Our mission is to expose our members to a variety of interactions and begin medical exposure at one of the largest health settings in the southeast United States.
