Marine Mammal Rescue Team
MMRT is a volunteer organization that is trained to respond to marine mammal strandings in the South Florida area. MMRT aims to enrich student life by promoting hands-on experience in the field of marine science through rescue, rehabilitation, and/or release of marine mammals. Members are also encouraged to expand their knowledge and participate in every educational and outreach experience to promote awareness of issues affecting all marine mammals. We are a point based organization with points earned through attendance and participation. Point counts will impact selection of field trips including stranding training classes to fun aquarium trips throughout Florida. We meet every Monday at 8pm in Cox Science Room 145!
