Operation Smile
The purpose of Operation Smile at the University of Miami is to empower our campus and local community to create positive, lasting change in the lives of children born with cleft lip and cleft palate. Through volunteer service, campus engagement, and fundraising efforts, we support Operation Smile’s global mission to provide free, safe surgeries and comprehensive care for children in need. Our chapter intends to do this by mobilizing student and community volunteers to advocate, educate, and support Operation Smile’s work worldwide and organizing fundraising initiatives to help fund life-changing surgeries and medical missions. We believe that through our work we can help contribute to a global impact to give the opportunity of a smile to a child who is in need.
