The purpose of Phi Alpha Delta is to provide undergraduate students with opportunities to learn about the law school admissions process, legal institutions, and careers involving law. The goal of Phi Alpha Delta is to provide students with sufficient information for them to make informed decisions about applying to law schools and eventually becoming professionals in the field of law. The objectives of Phi Alpha Delta: 1) Guide students through the law school admissions process by inviting speakers to provide them with information on law schools and the law school admissions process, attending practice LSAT examinations, providing law class sit-in opportunities with the University of Miami School of Law, and attending the Miami Law Fair. 2) Provide students with information on careers in law by inviting speakers to relate their experiences, encouraging attendance to related programs at the Toppel Career center, and providing information on available internships. 3) Prepare students for careers through networking opportunities with judges and lawyers, leadership training, and resume development.
