Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity Incorporated ( ΦΒΣ) is a historically black Greek letter organization founded on the campus of Howard University in Washington D.C. on Friday, January 9th, 1914. The organization's founders, Honorable Brothers Abram Langston Taylor, Leonard Frances Morse, and Charles Ignatius Brown strived to create and organization that was "a part of" the general community rather than "apart from" the general community. Under the principles of Brotherhood, Scholarship, and Service, Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity Incorporated has created a legacy of leaders and men equipped to help better the community for generations to come. The Epsilon Delta Chapter of Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity Incorporated was charted on the University of Miami community on April 1, 1971, and for over 50 years has continued to uphold itself to the high standards put forth by the organization as a whole. As the chapter celebrates its 50th anniversary, we look forward to continuing to be leaders, shakers, and movers in the University of Miami community well into the future.
