The Society of Professional Journalists (SPJ) chapter at the University of Miami exists to support and develop students interested in journalism and media by promoting ethical reporting, freedom of the press, and professional excellence. SPJ at UM provides students with opportunities to build real-world skills, connect with working journalists, engage in conversations about media ethics and diversity, and prepare for careers in journalism, broadcasting, public relations, and digital media, while fostering a strong community of aspiring storytellers on campus.
