The purpose of the Taekwondo club is to provide education, physical training, promote self defense, self confidence, and physical fitness in the South Korean martial arts system of the Olympic style of Taekwondo. These trainings will follow the system and regulations of the World Taekwondo (WT). RULES AND REGULATIONS: The taekwondo club is responsible for creating a “safe and fun” space for students' undergrad and graduate of any background to further their interest into the Korean martial art of taekwondo. This is a controlled learning environment as well as your chance to meet new people and exchange experiences. Meaning that each practice we focus on form, ability and power. We are looking for you to build effectiveness NOT repetition. Belts are NOT handed out. Your character and your ability to perform determine whether or not you will test for your next belt. A belt is an indication of you, understanding the required techniques for each belt you hold. In compliance with taekwondo policies and procedures. If you choose to compete with us. You are required to show up to practice. Because it is OUR RESPONSIBILITY to be in the best shape possible to compete. Failure to do so, given competition rules and regulations no one will be able to compete. Uniform is determined by the instructor. As well as what we are covering on that day in question. Usually, it’s a continuation of what happened in the last class. Don’t feel overwhelmed if you have to skip a couple days. We can pick up where you left off when you come in next time.
