Pre-Physician Associate Club at The University of Miami
Physician Associates are medical professionals who can diagnose, prescribe medications, develop treatment plans, assist in surgeries, and often function as the patient’s primary healthcare provider. Physician Associates can specialize in a wide range of fields and always have opportunities to change specialties. The Pre-Physician Associate club on campus is a student led organization with the primary focus of guiding students on the Pre-PA path. Getting to know students with similar career paths is an important aspect of succeeding in college. We have tons guest speaker presentations, for example, pre-PA mentors, Surgical PAs, Pediatric PAs, college professors, and PA program Admission Counselors. In addition, we showcase volunteering and shadowing opportunities in our club meetings and on our website. Join the Pre-PA club if you are on the Pre-PA path or if you have any sort of interest/questions!
