Sailing Hurricanes

With the ideal sailing conditions in Miami and Biscayne Bay, UM is the perfect place for a collegiate sailing team. The team currently practices at the U.S. Sailing Center in our fleet of 18 Flying Juniors (FJ's). The Sailing Hurricanes are one of the oldest club sports on campus. In 2004, we formed the first competitive sailing team at the "U". Collegiate sailing is not an NCAA sport; rather, it has its own organization, the ICSA (Inter-Collegiate Sailing Association). Our team joined the South Atlantic District (SAISA) in 2004, but competes against schools all over the country.

Salsa Craze

¡Bienvenido! At Salsa Craze we teach people of ALL skill levels how to dance Cuban style salsa, also known as Rueda de Casino style salsa. We welcome everyone in the Miami community who want to dance and have fun! Your first class is FREE and then $30 per semester. NO experience or partner necessary. Classes are every Wednesday and Friday in the StormSurge, with Beginner Hour at 6:30PM, and Intermediate/Advanced at 7:30PM. We hope to see you there!
